Terms & Conditions
Our commitment to a transparent and fair service.
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to clearance and waste-removal services provided by Priory House Clearance ("we", "us", "our") to you, the customer. By booking a job with us, you agree to these terms.
Quotes are free and given without obligation, based on the information, photos or on-site assessment you provide. A quote is our best estimate for the work described. If the actual job differs significantly — for example there's noticeably more to clear, or access is harder than described — we'll talk to you and agree any change before carrying on. We never spring surprise charges.
When you confirm a date, you agree to give our team safe and reasonable access to the property at the agreed time. If we can't gain access, or the job can't go ahead through no fault of ours, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover our time and travel.
Our prices reflect the volume and weight of what's removed, the labour and vehicle time involved, and the cost of legal disposal. We accept the following payment methods:
Payment is due on completion unless we've agreed otherwise in writing.
Where items have a resale value, we may offer a cash value that is offset against the cost of labour, fuel and disposal, reducing your bill. Please make sure you've removed anything you wish to keep before we start — once clearance begins, items we remove are treated as unwanted and may be reused, donated or recycled.
For safety and legal reasons there are some things we may be unable to remove, or which may need special arrangements — for example hazardous materials, asbestos, chemicals, gas bottles or clinical waste. Please tell us in advance if you think any of these are present so we can advise you.
We hold a full Environment Agency Waste Carriers Licence and dispose of everything legally and responsibly. We do not, and will not, fly-tip.
Need to change or cancel? Just let us know as soon as you can and we'll happily rearrange. We only ask for reasonable notice so we can offer the slot to someone else.
We carry £1 million public liability insurance and our team takes great care in your property. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our negligence, please tell us straight away so we can put it right. We can't be held responsible for pre-existing damage, or for items removed at your instruction. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that can't be limited by law.
We're proud of our track record, but if something isn't right, please contact us — we'll always try to resolve it quickly and fairly.
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
